Prof. Zafar Iqbal MalikProf. Zafar. I. Malik is an IT professional turned first into an academician and then an education systems manager. He is serving the Ministry of Education for last three years as Director EMIS and is responsible for overall management of National Education Management Information System (NEMIS). He has over more than 20 years of teaching experience in renowned universities of Pakistan including MAJU, Bahria University, and International Islamic University. He was the Head of CS Department and In-charge of IT infrastructure, at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad for six years. For the last five years he has been conducting/supervising research in the areas of Model Driven Architecture (MDA), Multimedia Systems and EMIS. For the last Ten years, he has been providing consultancy related to setting up of software development facility, Business process redesign / reengineering, Evaluation of processes/products/architectures, etc in the leading organizations such as Technola USA, Pakistan Software Export Board, and ERP Soft. In the last three years, he has also been involved in development and successful conduct of training modules for a wide range of clients. These trainings included basic IT trainings for specialist doctors, administrators, and scientist; and ranged to as advanced as state of the art J2EE frameworks and UML based design and architecture trainings. |
